The photo is owned by John Apple and is the breeder that produced the spiderlings I have for sale.
There is little known about them, exept the local hobbyists named it after the mountain it was found on.
Having been found at a high elevation, it must be a hardy specimen. They look simular to the anax , also found in Texas, exept this tarantula has a bunch of hair. I nic named it "wooly mountain anax".
I didn't find this tarantula in the wild, so until science gets around to naming it, I guess it' the "Davis Mountain Rusty" As with most american aphonopelma's It is docile and gentile, and heavy bodied, I am told. If you want this beautiful new comer to the hobby , buy the Davis mountain rusty for your pet tarantula.
The second photo is one of the actual spiderlings for sale.
